Welcome Anglers,

   "Rock Hound Charters" is now gearing up for some offshore

adventures. We are now doing Deep Drop trips to the Norfolk

Canyon, as well as some Triangle wreck trips. With the Black 

Sea Bass Season coming to a close on Feb. 28th its time to get some meat in the freezer. 

     We are now up dating our Walk On list for the 2013 season. And if you would like to be on our list, send an E-Mail to; rockhoundcharters@gmail.com and put "walk on list" in the subject line. Along with your name and contact number. 

     We plan to run offshore charters to the Norfolk Canyon

on Saturday's, and will depart at 3 AM and return at 5 PM.

Sundays charters will be wreck fishing at the Triangles, we

will depart at 5 AM and return at 4 PM. And YES we do run charters during the week as well. 

 We are also keeping a close eye on the water temps out

in the gulf stream, and when the blue fin tuna start heading

north we will be ready. And before we know it, its yellow fin 

tuna action. 

        Our goal this year is to keep on the fish offshore, by

getting out to the blue water as much as we can. So its time

to turn up the heat, "let's go fishing".

Canyon Meat Run

Canyon Meat Run

Hello Angler's,

well its time to hit the canyon for a deep drop meat run Saturday 2/16 for blue tile,

black sea bass, tog, and a few other species.

 I'll be pulling out of Salt Ponds Marina at 3 am and returning by 5 pm. Please let me

know ASAP if your in for this charter, cost is $225.00 per angler.

Jan. 19th weekend fishing report

"Past weekend Fishing Report"

Well the fishing has been slow this week with

 the big weather change. Good reports of rock 

fish up north still working there way down and 

hopefully they will be showing up here any day.

We did manage to put some rocks in the

boat this past weekend from the Cape.

We headed out for tuna on Monday and

 had C&R over 15 rock fish at the tower.

With the big weather change, we are going

to run Triangle wreck trips next week. The

temps are going to be back up in the 50's.

Great weekend Report

"Great Weekend Report"

Well the weather has been sweet the past couple 

of days, and the fishing has tuned on.

All the action started on Friday,

after chasing Tuna's out by the CBLT

We came in about 1:45 pm to Cape Henry

on the 2 mile line and the action was 

on fire. The days total of rocks boated

was 32, the cape was on fire.

We got lines in right where we left off

on Friday at Cape Henry.

Within 5 min. fish on, 

and than another rods bends over.

All the rocks being boated are all

   

in the 30 to 45LB range today.

All the Angler"s today reeled in

Citations, and had a great time 

on the Rock Hound.

Well the tuna are here and in close to shore,

so we are running Walk on Tuna Charters

all this week.

Plan is to hit the CBLT area in the morning

and than hitting the Rock fish bite in the 

afternoon, so 2 trips in one for the same price.
