Well the 2012 Rock Fish Season is here, and

it won't be long before the "RockHound" is

blooding her deck once again.

We are now booking Charter date's for the up 

coming season, and back by popular demand

Sunday's are being reserved for "Walk on's". 

Starting Nov. 15th we will be running our

night charter's, nothing like casting live 

bait's with lots of action.

"RockHound Charters" knows your day on the

water with friends and family is more than

just putting fish in the box. Once we catch

our limit its NOT back to the dock, we will

go to catch and release to give you a full 

day's charter and a day to remember.

"Need a Break"

"Deep Drop Fishing at the Norfolk"

The RockHound is all ready to make the run to the

 Norfolk Canyon, all we need is good weather. The

last 2 weekends the wind has been blowing and 

keeping the RockHound in the Dog House.

Hopefully the weather gods will gave us a chance

this weekend to put some meat in the boat.

"Nice Day Fishing"

"Good Deep Drop Day"

The 'RockHound" made a run to

the Norfolk Canyon to do some

Deep Drop meat fishing.

The day started out picking up

Blue Line Tile in around 320 feet.

  

 Black Sea Bass were also biting as well.

We made a move over to the

Golden Tile hole to try our luck,

but only managed to hook some

Rosie's and Barrel fish.

Next it was on to get some Mahi

in the fish box. After hitting 3

lobster Balls, we only hooked in 

to a few we saw and boated 1.

The "RockHound" than made a 

long run towards home to his hot

spot for black sea bass. With only

6 miles to go, we hit something in

the water. Turns out the prop on 

the port motor took a direct hit

and ending our day of fishing.

Next week we are heading out to

the Triangle Wrecks. We still have 

some open spots, cost is $200 per angler.

Meat Charter to Triangle Wrecks

Ok, I have been getting call's for a wreck fishing trip.

So next Saturday 10/13, RockHound Charters 

will depart from Salt Ponds Marina 

at 4 AM and return by 5 PM

Will be targeting Black Sea Bass, flounder and tog.

Have 3 open spots, Cost is $200 per angler.

"Deep Drop meat Charter"

"Meat Trip to the Canyon"

The "RockHound" is heading to the Norfolk Canyon 

Saturday Morning  to do some Deep drop Fishing.

We will be pulling out of Salt Ponds Marina  

Saturday at 3 AM and returning around 5 PM.

We will be targeting Blue line Tile, golden

Tile, Grouper, Black Sea Bass and bailing 

for Mahi are all on the menu for Saturday.

The weather looks great, 

Winds WSW 8 to 10 knots

and

Seas E 2 feet at 10 sec.

The "RockHound" has 2 spots open for 

walk on's Saturday 10/6, cost is $200 per angler.
