Non stop action on the "RockHound"

Departed the dog house on time for our 3 hour run to NC, Kitty Hawk area. Cory the Mate went to work and got the rods out and within minutes we had doubles on. Manning the rods today we have Captain Chuck Linton, his Friend Dave, and my good buddy Mike Wells.

The action was non stop today from the time we got there to the time we headed back to the dog house.

Here's Captain Chuck  and Dave fighting  rock fish when another rod to his right goes off, with 4 fish on at this time Captain Pete and Cory the Mate get in the action.

After 4 hours of non stop action, from doubles to triples to 5 on, today's total count was 48 Rock Fish boated and released, with 10 in the box. Captain Chuck got Paper today with this nice 48 Lb Rock, and Mike missed by 1 Lb.

The Rock Fish season is at its best right now. Even though we have to go far south to get them its well worth the run. As of now, the "RockHound" is open for next weekend. Call Captain Pete and let the RockHound "Sniff out the Action".

Kitty Hawk NC Rockfish Action

Left the doghouse at 5AM, heading south. Found the parking lot of boats after 3 hr run at the Wright Memorial. Stayed 3 miles north of the fleet and got lines in the water,  and it didn't take long before our first bite.

Dave with this nice 42" Rockfish

The action started to heat up fast, within 45 Min. we had 4 triples 3 doubles and than 4 rods go down with 3 rods with 2 fish each.

After a 1 hour battle with the Rockfish the 200 Qt cooler was full with 16 "Rocks" from 35" to 42" .

It was a great day on the water with 1 to 2 foot waves, sunny and lots of action. After 2 hours of C&R we headed back to the Doghouse.

Even with the long run to NC, the "RockHound" is still Chartering. We have Sun. the 23rd open as of now. I'm looking  to do a make up Charter the 23rd, so if you are interested call Captain Pete at 757-256-6305

"Long run pays off"

Headed south down to Duck N.C. Saturday, with Gil and his family. We had some great action with Rocks from 30" to 40", with one 32 LBer.

We limited out with 14 Rocks in the box. With the warmer weather that has moved in the fishing action is at its best. Reports of schools of Rock fish now back in VA waters, its time to book a trip with "Rock Hound Charters" Call Captain Pete at 757-256-6305
