RockHound Charters on the air

Captain Pete of RockHound Charters is featured on Saturday morning talk show   WHKT 1650 AM
The Don Lancaster "Fishing Tidewater" Show
hosted by  Jet Ski Brian.

Today's topic on the show was about striped bass fishing, Captain Pete talked about his type of technique's used to catch trophy Stripers. It was an honor to be on the show, and a pleasure to talk with Brain. I have fished with Brain in the past and look forward to fishing with him in the future. A thank you goes out to all the callers of the show for your support.

And a special Thanks goes out to the man behind the mike. Randy you the man, the show would not be possible with out you.

RockHound Charters,
Captain Pete

Scouting report 10/26

The RockHound was out today to do some scouting for a few hours. Started out around Fort Wool and found some nice balls of bait on the northern side. Then headed around the point and started to mark fish in18 feet of water. Worked our way to the James River side of Wool and found the mother load, the Lowrance lit up like a Xmass tree. This is the largest group of fish and bait I have seen this season on the James, with the water temp at 60 degrees  things are about to get hot on the James River.

Captain Pete Fishing with buddy Anglers Jon and Cash,
Citations all around. This was a day to remember.

And lets not forget VA Joe. his first time fishing with
Captain Pete lands him Paper. After 35 years of fishing for
Rock Fish, VA Joe hooks his first Citation, 42 Lber.

Here's 13 year old Dasean, That smile says it all. Being his first time fishing on a boat, he battled this Rock Fish for over 20 minutes. And lands a 44 Lb Citation, not bad for a first timer.
